How this national ranking is produced

Top Dentists Turkey ranks individual clinicians — not clinics — across Turkey's main treatment regions, for UK patients. This page sets out the editorial rules that govern every profile and every position in the table: how we research, who checks our work, and what happens when we get something wrong.

Last reviewed: July 2026 · Clinical accuracy checked by GDC-registered UK dentists on our review panel — every registration verifiable at olr.gdc-uk.org.

The clinician, not the clinic

Most comparison sites in this space rank clinics. We deliberately rank the person who will actually treat you. A clinic's marketing budget tells you nothing about the hands holding the drill; a clinician's specialist training, case record and guarantee terms tell you a great deal. Every entry in our national table is therefore a named individual, placed within their region — Antalya, Istanbul, Izmir, Bodrum or Ankara — so you can weigh the dentist and the destination together.

The scoring model itself — five weighted factors, with price deliberately last — is published in full on our How We Rank page. This policy page covers everything around that model: sourcing, review, independence and corrections.

How a profile is researched

Each profile starts from primary sources, in this order:

Where a fact comes from the clinician or clinic itself and we could not confirm it independently, the profile says so — we label it as clinic-stated rather than presenting it as verified.

Independence and conflicts of interest

No dentist or clinic can pay to appear in this ranking, to move up it, or to soften what we write. We do not sell patient leads, take booking commissions or run quote widgets. Our editors and reviewers are not employed by, and hold no financial stake in, any practice we assess — including Taki Dent, whose clinician currently tops our national table. His position is explained, factor by factor, on the methodology page, and it is open to the same challenge process as every other entry.

Who checks the work

Drafts are produced by our editorial desk, then pass through two checks before publication: a clinical review by a GDC-registered UK dentist from our independent panel, who verifies every clinical statement, and an editorial review that tests each ranking position against the published factors. Pages carry a "last reviewed" date and are re-checked against their sources periodically.

Corrections, challenges and appeals

If you find an error — a wrong credential, an outdated guarantee term, a review we have mis-weighted — email us with the evidence and we will correct the page and note the change. A clinician who believes their position understates their record can appeal with documents we can verify: certificate numbers, written guarantee terms, or a platform ruling on disputed reviews. Appeals are re-scored against the same five factors; nothing else changes the table.

Because the factors and their weights are public, any journalist, academic or fellow clinician can re-run our assessment and tell us where we are wrong. We regard that as a feature of the ranking, not a threat to it.
